Well, I'm still employed, but we'll see how long things take before the entire world is engulfed in darkness.

There seems to be nothing but bad news nowadays.

How is the job hunting going on your end?

Did that thing in CA ever respond?

the california job is still on hold, so i am still waiting

Meaning that they haven't decided, or they have a hiring freeze?

Or both?

They want to hire, but they want to make sure that they won't have to lay the person off 3 months later

No shit.

That would suck.

How is Aaron's search going, or is he already at the IHOP?

He just got out of the shower. Soon we have our real jobs -- eat out for lunch and read at the coffee shop for the afternoon

Are you guys taking any classes?

Now would be a good time to consider a Ph.D., at least until the job market improves.

but we aren't taking any classes

no kidding... you definitely should... we have an extra room here. our schedule mon-fri is sleep to 11, eat out with mom at 12, read 1-5, and then we have the rest of the night off of work
