GBCN Pirate Radio

Gentle listener,

After a bit of preliminary testing, we'll be starting up with irregularly-scheduled programming on GBCN Pirate Radio this weekend. You may ask, what do I have to do to tune in? It's simple: just visit us here at Festung Europa! When the Pirate Radio™ sign appears below our GBCN logo at right, you're listening to us broadcasting live from our GBCN World Centre in Uranium City, Saskatchewan. When the Pirate Radio™ sign at right doesn't load, that means we are currently not broadcasting. Additionally, you may listen to us in slightly higher quality here. Just look for us listed under Mixed Format and click on WebSteam™ next to GBCN.

Pirate Radio is a Java™-supported application. Be sure that your browser supports Java™ in order for it to work for you.

Our format will primarily be streaming music, but you can expect other GBCN features as well. We are currently experimenting with bringing some of our beloved Festung Europa progams such as Man About Town and The Back to Saskatchewan Mailbag to you in this audio format.

A note about quality: the webstreams are brought to you at around 20 kbs, 32 kbs on the Pirate Radio Network site. This isn't great, but it allows us to reach the widest audience possible given our current bandwidth limitations. I like to think it has a sort of nostalgic quality, akin to AM radio in the 1970's.

We hope you'll enjoy GBCN Pirate Radio, and thanks for listening!
