Spain or Bust

Here's a little note to Sigrid and Marinn wishing them a safe and pleasant journey as they make their way to a nice vacation in sunny Spain! I had the pleasure of meeting these two young ladies from Estonia as they were hitching a ride to München from the Kirchheim exit this evening. We had a nice two-hour chat where I learned a little about their hometown of Tartu, where the favorite student activity is illegally walking over the arch on the bridge there. (I verified this, by the way, at the following link ... see for yourself!) Sigrid is studying Spanish and is taking off a year from college to work in Spain, while Marinn is studying to be a mathematics teacher and is just going to Spain for the next month. Oh, to be young and carefree! These diligent travelers have the interim goal for this evening's hitchhiking as Salzburg, Austria, where they plan on arriving around midnight or so.
