A personal invitation to horse lovers in America
If you love horses like I love horses, then come on over to Bavaria. There is a super butcher shop in Passau which specializes in horseflesh and makes a horse sausage that says, "Giddy up!" My pseudo-father-in-law offered me some of the stuff, and I found it to be delicious.
Seriously, it' s just meat folks. If you're not a vegetarian, you eat poultry, beef, pork, and a variety of fish (don't you hate the asshole "vegetarians" who somehow can eat seafood?). Why not try something that used to be savored for the holy days of the old religion, before the church banned it due to its pagan connection?
So, since the US House of Representatives has nothing better or more pressing to do than to ban the slaughter of horses for profit in the states, you may be SOL on that end soon, if the Senate approves the measure. If that happens, come on over for a taste of the good life.
