A bit more about the name...
Gentle Reader,
I have had a few email inquiries about the meaning behind the name of the new blog, Yggdrasil. Since I am currently a bit immobile following a smash-up on the Autobahn (some Arschloch rear-ended me doing about 50 mph as I stood in a traffic jam), I will leave it up to the public at Wikipedia to explain a bit.
In the "Parallels" section, however, I would dispute the link between Odin's sacrifice and the Christian crucifixion. Personally, I see more congruity between the Norse multiverse linked by the unifying world tree of Yggdrasil and the world tree connecting the worlds of the Siberian shamans.
