The Votes Are In

Well, the voters of Exira have decided, and the bond issue to raise money to build a new elementary school has failed. You can read about it here at The Des Moines Register.
As I mentioned in the previous post, it pains me that the Exira school district may no longer be an independent entity, but on the other hand, these are trying times. It may be that the old elementary school must have to keep on serving the public, regardless of its shortcomings, because there is NO money available. We are headed for a worldwide economic disaster, it seems, so frugality and good, old-fashioned making do with what you have will likely be the order of the day.
