More Views of the Hindenburg

Here's a bit from a French documentary which is interesting as it shows the Hindenburg in a docking maneuver. It gives you, gentle reader, a sense of the immensity and yet, elegance and grace of the largest type of aircraft ever built. The Hindenburg and it's sister ship, Graf Zeppelin II, which never saw transatlantic service, were each 804 feet long. That is over 3 times as long as the Boeing 747 commercial airliner!

I hope you don't mind the French narration. Just picture a hot, young French woman, dressed up like a librarian, bespectacled in business attire and speaking into a large, old-time radio microphone on a sultry, summer Parisian afternoon, and I think you'll make it through it, should you speak French or not. Pardonnez-moi!
