New Facebook Application
Here's my latest idea for a Facebook application, Fuck Off, Friend!, and I'm sure it will be a big, big hit. I conceive of a polling system for people to ditch their superficial, fast-found Facebook friends. Here's how it would work:
You decide you've had enough of being friends with someone on Facebook. You start the application, which creates a poll, sending a questionnaire to all people who are friends with that person. If a predetermined percentage decide to ditch the friend, then the friend is deleted by all those approving at the same time. Finis, fucker. This would make much more of a psychological impact on the person than merely having one or two friends bolt. Let's say 63% of your friends leave at once. Looks like you're a chump. Better take a handful of pills or put that .44 to your temple. Ha!
Just to rub salt in the wound, a message is sent to all of their friends, including those that didn't agree in the poll, telling everyone of the result. "Jocelyn* just lost 326 of 346 friends! What a loser!"
This could work for the other sociopathic sites such as MySpace as well. Buts since this doesn't meet the feel-good, fake friendliness of the current age, I doubt it would get picked up by the powers that be. Oh well. It is the thought that counts.
*Name changed to protect the innocent.
