Damn the Sky! Damn the Sky!
News reports indicate that the brightest comet in 30 years, perhaps longer, is now visible in the western sky at dusk. Comet McNaught even outshines the cool Hale-Bopp apparition of 10 years ago. Of course, we have been having nothing but clouds and rain here in Europe! Damn the sky!
If you have clear skies at sunset, by all means, get out and see the comet! DO IT! I mean it. It is something that you and your children should see, as IT IS A ONCE IN A LIFETIME DEAL. Now, after the outburst of cursing, please join me in a personal, silent prayer for good weather.
Amen.
I mean it. THIS IS AN OPPORTUNITY THAT SHOULD NOT BE MISSED! The comet will soon be moving into the morning skies, but it looks as though the Aussies, from where Mr. McNaught, the discover, hails, should get the best viewing. Cross your fingers for us in the northern hemisphere.
Sincerely,
