Thoughts for the Week

Instead of a normal, somewhat short quote for the Thought for the Week, this week I am requiring a bit more from you, gentle reader. But please, please: relax! There will be no test. Instead, you will be taken to two essays which I found timely and, distressingly so, probably accurate. The first essay is from a US Army Lieutenant Colonel who basically takes the Generals and the institution of the military to task for creating the fiasco currently in Mesopotamia. The second essay is a thought-provoker by Michael Nystrom as to why we should perhaps not be cheering as the Dow Jones breaks the 13,000 barrier. I hope both essays get you thinking.
